Time
I find myself in a constant race against time. In my school days my favourite topic for any essay was "the value of time". Mainly it was also due to laziness to learn any new essay. I used to be the last one to complete my exam papers and writing an essay extempore was really a nightmare. It would have taken atleast an hour to write an essay on a new topic. So to save time I byHearted the essay and save time(real value for time).
The above picture I made is based on an old malayalam childrens movie where the protagonist child sees himself chasing an alarm in a nightmare. The image stuck in my mind for so many years.
Hopefully this picture will be useful in your presentations where you have to emphasise on strictly following deadlines.
Another inspiration to do this picture is the lines from the poem "if" by Rudyard Kipling which goes
"If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!"
So much for the serious part.
Well also speaking about time, here is a video song from old Kannada movie starring Dr.Rajkumar .. "If you come today ,its too early, If you come tomorow its too late, You pick the time, tick tick tick :)

the rays descend
ReplyDeletethe flickering streetlight, the flashing neon boards
a crowd of nocturnals in the speeding cars
a city that never sleeps.
the long hours squatted in the office cabin
a virtual smile glued with a sticking charm
coffee-a blend of sweat and saliva
a stimulant that camouflages signs of slumber
till it turns cold and numb
time to fly back home.
home sweet home
another deserted den
dust and dirt
darkness and loneliness
the playful residents!
under the shower
downpour
sacks of chlorine!
but it trickles down the skin
washing the scars of the long day
and the longer past.
how i wish
an ablution inside out!
the lather draining the muck
the water dissolving the internal filth
cleansing the wounds and stitching them back
a 'knitted' me
do more than exist,live!
but the city roars
'to be or not to be'
the deluge ceases
i come out
to be covered again
in dirt and filth!
Frozen food
thanks to the icebox!
soft pillow
caressed to sleep.
the mundane existence
a depressed soul
the monotony,the insipidity
but in mind
just a thought
tomorrow
perchance!
well..this post reminds me exactly of the feelings portrayed in my lines. so,
i would prefer to emphasize "perhaps" instead of "strictly following deadlines" and dragging along a cheerless existence.
so race against time becomes complete in itself :)
in the end..good thought portrayed effectively.. kudos pp:)
nice cartoon.. keep up d good work :)
